When coupling the following procedure should be adhered to.Check that after each coupling process the safety device is fully engaged.If the security knob is not in its internal engaged position, the security of the trailer coupling iscompromised and the whole coupling procedure must be repeated.Note:The old style safety device may appear engaged but the pin may still be extended.(Pin not seated in v groove as per photo above).It is recommended that regular checks of the coupling are made to ensure lower bushes andinternal mechanisms are free of dirt and debris.Note:The coupling bolt must belowered to the closed positionafter a trailer is decoupled toprevent stones or other debrisfrom lodging in the lower bush.Transport Specialties Ltd.
