Robey Jones and Dakota Padgett met in
Orlando, Florida, in 2014, and everything
clicked. Their likes were the same,
their taste were the same, their ambitions
were the same, everything was just
right. He is good looking and she is
beautiful. What more could you want?
They were in loved and knew beyond
a shadow of a doubt that they wanted
to spend the rest of their lives together
as “husband and wife.” So in March of
2015, they tied the knot.
They started their “new beginning,” a
new life.
It is amazing to find out that so many of
our young married couples are now doing
the “destination wedding” in lieu of
a church or chapel. For instance: getting
married at the beach, mountains, skydiving,
hotels, Disney World, cruises,
etc., etc. Moms and dads could probably
save $10,000 - $15,000 if the couple used
the traditional church. Robey’s father
and mother pastor a church. The church
is beautiful and a wedding there would
have been awesome. Dakota’s father
and mother live on the beaches of St.
Augustine, Florida, where a beach wedding
would have been perfect – just walk
out of her house and there you are.
But, they wanted to get married where they first met (which is so romantic to us ladies that crave romance). Oh, well, anything
to make the couple happy and to remember their wedding day. So, Dakota’s mom found a beautiful hotel in Orlando; the hotel
had a wedding planner; and the hotel catered the event. “Mom and Dad” did a great job. The wedding was absolutely beautiful
as you can tell by the pictures. (As you can see, the reception had a Disney World flavor – Dakota’s family and Robey’s
family are Disney World lovers.)
