A diploma exam consists of:
■ artistic preparation of liturgy with organ playing
and singing as well as the presentation of
choral a cappella parts, and vocal and instrumental
parts
■ M.A. thesis exam concerning the specialization.
Students earn the Master of Art degree in
church music.
Faculty structure
CHORAL CHAIR
It concentrates on:
■ substantial care of the teaching staff development
and didactics of directing ensembles
and choral conducting
■ artistic activities
■ cooperation with other educational institutions.
The Choral Chair is also the organizer of the
National Choral Conductors’ Competitions for
the students of higher education institutions in
Poland.
MUSICAL EDUCATION CHAIR
It concentrates on:
■ artistic, scholar and didactical activities connected
with teaching within the specializations
■ substantial care of teaching staff development
■ cooperation with other scholarly institutions.
The Chair takes care of the Faculty’s teaching
equipment.
CHURCH MUSIC DEPARTMENT
It concentrates on the religious music issues,
Gregorian chant performance traditions, artistic
activities connected with religious music
and the development of teaching process of
Church Music specialization.
Teaching facitilies
The Faculty owns seven classrooms (including
two classrooms with organs), and uses the
Academy Hall and the Academy Chamber Room.
