Composing different kinds of chamber and symphonic music
with a possibility of connecting these genres with the
computer music. Possibility of extending interests towards
the film and theatre music. Students’ intensive preparation
for individual, creative work.
CONDUCTING (Cn)

Apart from the chronological systematisation of the music
creation, the subject takes into consideration problematic
systematization and the history of the musical notation, the
history of musical forms and genres, the history of instruments,
musical performance, history of musical institutions,
as well as problems of the music reception.

History of notation – from the notation in the antique Greece
– through the notation of the Middle Ages and Renaissance
(alphabetical, neume, mensural, tablature) – to the score
printing (from the 16 th century) and attempts to reform the
system of notation in the 19 th and 20 th century. Development
of musical systems: Greek, modal, solmisation and tonal
(functional).
EURHYTHMICS (E)
