POP3 and Netscape MessengerTo configure <strong>your</strong> POP3-compliant version of Netscape Messenger (with Netscape Communicator4.x) to retrieve email from <strong>your</strong> AT&T account, please follow these steps:1. Go to <strong>your</strong> browser's Edit menu and click on "Preferences."2. Click on the "+" sign next to "<strong>Mail</strong> and Groups."3. Click on "Identity" and fill in the areas <strong>for</strong> <strong>your</strong> name and email address.4. Now click on "<strong>Mail</strong> Server" and click “Add” fill in the fields with the following in<strong>for</strong>mation:oooServer user name: Enter the POP3 Server Name provided when <strong>your</strong>account is setup (e.g. pop1.attglobal.net)Server Type: Select POP3 ServerUser Name: Enter account.userid (e.g., dslacct.user1234)5. When complete, Click “OK”6. In the field Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: Enter the SMTP Server Name providedwith <strong>your</strong> account setup in<strong>for</strong>mation. (e.g. asmtp.attglobal.net)oIn the field Outgoing <strong>Mail</strong> server user name: Enter account.userid, e.g.:dslacct.user12347. When prompted to enter a password, type in the appropriate AT&T password.If you have questions and/or problems setting up <strong>your</strong> E-mail account, please call 877-937-5288 (1-877-X<strong>DSL</strong>-ATT). Select the prompt <strong>for</strong> E-<strong>Mail</strong> Service, then select the prompt <strong>for</strong> ATTGlobal.netPost Office. You will need to know <strong>your</strong> Account, and userid.
