2008 Champions Tour Eligibility RequirementsSECTION PLAYER BIOGRAPHIES2In order to be eligible for an official Champions Tour event, a player mustattain age 50 on or before the day of his first tournament obligation (e.g.Wed-Thurs. pro-am, date of Pre-Qualifying, date of Event Qualifying, etc.).The field size at the majority of Champions Tour events in 2008 will be 78players up to a maximum of 81 players based on the following eligibilityrequirements:1. 30 players — Available from Prior-Year Money List (floor of 50)2. 30 players — Available from All-Time Money List, floor of net 70,(not exempt in No. 1)3. 4 players — PGA TOUR Career Victory Category, ages 50 and 51(not exempt in Nos. 1 or 2)4. Space Available — Special Medical Extension (not exempt inNos. 1 through 3 on space-available basis — i.e., once all eligibleand committed players from No. 1 and No. 2 have been enteredinto the field — until the implementation of Current Year MoneyCategory on Sept. 1)5. 5 players — Invited by the tournament (Sponsor Exemptions)• Two spots restricted: players with one PGA TOURor Champions Tour win and Veteran Member status• Three spots unrestricted6. Maximum of 2 players — Top 10 advance (not exempt in Nos.1 through 5 or Current Year Money Category, players finishing in10th place or tied for 10th advance into next co-sponsored, open,full-field event reducing Event Qualifying spots accordingly)7. Available Spots — Event Qualifying (Maximum of nine spotsreduced accordingly by Top 10 advance. Top four spots replacedby Current Year Money Category, beginning Sept. 1)The following players will be added to the field to a maximum of 81players:1. Non-Exempt Tournament Winners2. Committed and eligible players from the All-Time VictoryCategory3. “Major” Medical Extension (if not in the field of 78 on a spaceavailablebasis, they will be added via this category)Note: Should any combination of the above exceed 81 players, Event Qualifierswill be reduced by no more than two positions followed by restricted thenunrestricted Sponsor Exemptions in alternating orderCurrent Year Money List Category (September 1, 2008)The Current Year Official Money Category will be established using theChampions Tour Official Money List through the Wal-Mart First Tee Open atPebble Beach and remain in place for the last four (4) full-field events of theyear (Greater Hickory Classic at Rock Barn, SAS Championship, AdministaffSmall Business Classic, AT&T Championship).All Champions Tour players, not otherwise exempt, 75th or better on theChampions Tour Current Year Money List, including members remainingeligible via the Special Medical Extension Category, shall be ranked in orderbased upon each player’s position on said list as of Sept. 1, 2008. Priorityorder within this category will not change for the remainder of the season.The number of Event Qualifier playing positions available will be reduced byfour (4) for the remainder of the year.AlternatesAfter the commitment deadline, withdrawals will be replaced by the firstavailable player on the All-Time Money List and Prior Year Money List inalternating order.
