4 After every repack and every reserve installationcarry out a compatibility test asfollows:• Hang up the harness from its carabiners, pack the back pocket and sitin the harness.• The reserve must be released by usingthe correct throwing technique(sideways throwing direction!).The reserve handle, permanently connectedto the four-flap inner container supplied, forms an essential part of the harness; youmay only use this reserve handle.

Using the SpeedbagThe IMPRESS 3 speedbag is closed by anew chest strap/speedbag safety device, called Closure Remember System. This fasteningis directly connected to the chest/legstraps and draws the pilot’s attention, whenhe closes the speedbag, to the chest strap(which should have been closed already). This safety device will prevent the pilot fromfalling out of the harness should he take offwith speedbag closed but chest strap open(for example after having released the chest/leg straps after a failed takeoff).Stay leaning forward after takeoff, with bodyweight supported by the leg/chest straps.Pick up the speedbag (which should be danglingbelow) with a foot (right preferably) andpush yourself into a comfortable recliningposition by means of the footboard. The topof the speedbag then closes automatically.
