Berthing is at the discretion of the RegionalHarbour Master with regards to weather conditions. Berthing with a constant windspeed over 30 knots will be individually risk assessed before the terminal will accept.c) Engines must not be immobilised while alongside the berth. Main engine and propulsionunits must be at a state of readiness while alongside the terminal at all times. A permitmust be given by the terminal if the engines are to be immobilised while alongside theberth.d) Sailing is on the flood tide, normally about 1 hour before HW dependent on berthconditions and location.e) Minimum under keel clearance of 0.3 m is to be maintained while berthed.f) Minimum under keel clearance for <strong>Weipa</strong> South Channel is 1.2 m.(RTA Terminal Requirements and Transport and Main Roads 2010).7.5 Departure ChannelA departure channel has been established with a depth of 11.1 m at LAT.
