Our premium volume has risen steadily
in recent years. However, this is just one
yardstick for measuring our success: in the
light of the different risk profiles of our
areas of insurance and reinsurance activity,
we set ourselves only earnings targets
and not sales targets in the more volatile
segments. In less risk-exposed segments
we define both earnings and sales targets.
It is then up to the individual divisions to
fill in the strategic framework: in terms
of products, client groups, sales channels
