Colleen Varneckas, Occupational <strong>The</strong>rapist withthe Morris School District, will address K<strong>in</strong>dergarten Read<strong>in</strong>ess. She willtouch on topics like F<strong>in</strong>e Motor, Gross Motor, Visual Perceptual, VisualMotor, Self-Help, Cognition, Social Emotional and Sensory Process<strong>in</strong>g.Ms. Varneckas will give you tips and techniques on how you can work withyour child (children) <strong>in</strong> these areas. She’ll give you an idea of developmentalexpectations. This program is geared for parents of children of all abilities.In the meantime, here are some highlights from our classes: the children <strong>in</strong> Mrs. Ramseyerand Mrs. Kl<strong>in</strong>gman’s class recently experienced outer space by creat<strong>in</strong>g star people and glow<strong>in</strong> the dark star boxes. Mrs. Healy and Mrs. Siverson’s classes are busy plant<strong>in</strong>g and grow<strong>in</strong>gth<strong>in</strong>gs. <strong>The</strong>y are also learn<strong>in</strong>g about animals. Mrs. Mueller and Mrs. Kl<strong>in</strong>gman’s class arelearn<strong>in</strong>g all about recycl<strong>in</strong>g and science experiments. Mrs. Yacenda and Mrs. Fitzgerald’sclass have been study<strong>in</strong>g plants and butterflies. Mrs. Gray and Mrs. Busca<strong>in</strong>o’s class havebeen busy mak<strong>in</strong>g a class quilt and study<strong>in</strong>g d<strong>in</strong>osaurs. <strong>The</strong>re’s always someth<strong>in</strong>g fun and<strong>in</strong>terest<strong>in</strong>g go<strong>in</strong>g on <strong>in</strong> our classes!We’re also plann<strong>in</strong>g for Mother’s Day events which will be hosted by each of the classes.<strong>The</strong> children have been enthusiastically work<strong>in</strong>g on surprises for their moms.
