moved to New York City to make his Broadway debut in
the lavish Production of The Three Musketeers and has
since co-starred in the Broadway Productions of Romance/
Romance, City of Angels, Falsettos, The Life, and The Full
Monty. Off- Broadway, Viviano co-starred in the recent
revival of Closer Than Ever* (Broadway World Award -
Best Actor; Off-Broadway Alliance Award); as well as in
The Big Time; Golf The Musical* (Backstage Award- Best
Actor); Beau Jest; Cather County*; Weird Romance*;
Catch Me If I Fall*; Broadway Jukebox; and Hamlet, The
Opera (for Joseph Papp), among others. On tour he’s
starred in Chicago; Evita; Joseph and the…Dreamcoat;
Anything Goes!; The Pirates of Penzance; Hair; Sunday in
the Park With George (Helen Hayes Award - Best Actor
nom.). On film, Viviano starred in John Fasano’s cult classics
Black Roses* (newly released on a Collector’s Edition
DVD), and The Jitters; and appeared in (and recorded
songs for…) Legally Blonde 2*; Spike of Bensonhurst*; and
Life With Mikey*, among others. The ‘highlight’ of his couple
dozen primetime guest appearances and daytime television
credits: Vincent VanGogh in Disney’s Out of the Box
(Parent’s Choice Award)… Viviano’s recordings include
two LIVE albums recorded with full orchestra: his most
recent, a Solo CD entitled Perfectly Frank- A Century of
Sinatra (a 2-CD set of 40 Sinatra hits), and The Standards
of Love (of which Billboard said: “...a clarion and richlycolored
voice with a mellow, saxophone-like timbre…”) both
on The FRIARecords Label (with a new Christmas Album
also in the works). His original cast, compilation, and solo
CD recordings number over 70, on a dozen different labels
(including *’d titles above). A proud 20-year member of
the famed FRIARS Club, Sal has also sung our National
Anthem for over 30 seasons for NY’s Mets. Sal Viviano resides
in New York City and Culver City, CA with his wife,
the extraordinary actress Liz Larsen (currently co-starring
in Beautiful, The Carole King Musical, on Broadway), and
their boys, Alessandro Gian (18) and Joseph Dante (15)

Mary Henderson (Stage Manager) graduated from
The Hill School in Pottstown, PA this year after stage
managing their production of Brigadoon and working
as an audio technician for its productions of Brigadoon,
Anything Goes, and How To Succeed in Business
Without Really Trying, among others. She has also interned
for Broadway’s Phantom of the Opera, Wicked,
and Rock of Ages. She will be attending Franklin and
Marshall College in the fall.
Nathan Powell‘s (Sound Designer) professional career
began as a sound engineer for the United States
Government in the early 1980’s. He was on the audio
engineers for President Reagan and Vice President
Bush’s 1984 Re-Election Tour. Following this tour, he
became a staff audio engineer for Opryland Productions
in Nashville, TN (home of the world famous
Grand Ol’ Opry & TNN).
During his 7-year tenure with Opryland Productions,
Nathan’s skill in audio production developed
to the level where he was responsible for the audio
engineering and mixing of some of the top entertainers
in both the Country and Rock music fields.
Additionally, he was contracted to co-design and mix
a number of top Broadway musical productions.
Jeff Bettencourt (Lighting Designer) Jeff is a resident
lighting designer for Starlite Productions of Moorestown,
New Jersey. He has been working with live
theatre for over fifteen years and has designed lights
for musicals, plays, fashion and talent shows, and
bands all over Delaware, South Jersey, and Philadelphia.
Jeff is pleased to be returning to NEMC for his
second summer and looks forward to the many more
to come.
