For these exceptions, refer to theLAST DAY TO CANCEL in<strong>for</strong>mation listed in the coursedescription.If you have a situation that warrants an override ofthe above policy, an explanation of the circumstancesshould be made in writing to the Division ofCorporate and <strong>Community</strong> Development. Theappropriate associate dean will review the situationto determine if a refund can be granted and willnotify you accordingly. Refunds should be receivedwithin 30 days.Inclement Weather Policy: In the event ofsevere weather conditions or other emergencies,the SCC president may cancel classes and close thecampus <strong>for</strong> a partial or full day.The college will update the college’s website (stchas.edu) and main number 636-922-8000, send a textmessage through the Emergency Alert System,and contact selected radio and television stations,when the timing of conditions allow, by 5a <strong>for</strong> dayclasses and no later than 4 p <strong>for</strong> evening classes (ifbad weather develops during the day). The collegewill typically update the college website and mainnumber prior to contacting the selected radio andtelevision stations. It is recommended to use thecollege’s website or main number in order to receivein<strong>for</strong>mation in a more timely manner.Announcements will be made on KMOX Radio(1120aM), KWRE Radio (730aM), KFAV Radio (99.9 FM),KSDK TV (Channel 5), KMOV TV (Channel 4), and KTVITV (Channel 2).In the case of evening classes held at middle schoolsand high schools in the area, the SCC classes willnot meet if it has been announced that the schoolsthemselves are closed.Accommodations/Support: It is the policyof SCC to provide accessibility to its programs/activities and reasonable accommodations <strong>for</strong>persons defined as disabled under the AmericansWith Disabilities Act of 1990and the RehabilitationAct of 1973.
