The program is part of the Work<strong>for</strong>ce InvestmentAct serving individuals who have beendisplaced from their jobs and are unlikely to findemployment in their previous occupation. Thisservice is provided through the <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Charles</strong> CountyDepartment of Work<strong>for</strong>ce Development at theMissouri Career Center. Contact the Missouri CareerCenter at 636-255-6060.Services Provided:• Job Search Assistance: Including résumépreparation, identification of transferableskills, in<strong>for</strong>mational and job interviewingskills and marketing yourself to employers.Various workshops and networking opportunitiesare provided.• Individual Career Consultation: An individualplan of action is developed to determinejob search goals and career direction.• Career Resource Center: For use by customersduring their job search. Phones, copier,fax machine, IBM computers, laser printersand employer directories are available. Internetaccess is also available.• Job Placement Assistance: Including currentlabor market in<strong>for</strong>mation and access to availablejob listings from area employers.• Training Opportunities: Available <strong>for</strong> eligiblecustomers who require upgrade training orretraining into a different career.
