By the time the oversight was discovered, there were no stamps, either with orwithout overprint, to be had. Accordingly, Thiele Printing Works in Copenhagen was instructed to reprint theoriginal stamps for overprinting in Reykjavik. The reprints were perforated 12¾, but were on paper with the newcrown watermark, thus distinguishing them from the original stamps.
