All <strong>contract</strong> personnel attending meetings,answering government telephones, and working in other situations where their <strong>contract</strong>or status is notobvious to third parties are required to identify themselves as such to avoid creating an impression in theminds of members of the public that they are government officials. They must also ensure all documentsor reports produced by <strong>contract</strong>ors are suitably marked as <strong>contract</strong>or products or that <strong>contract</strong>orparticipation is appropriately disclosed.Part 2: Definitions and acronymsThis section includes all special terms and phrases used in the PWS. Each definition provided should becarefully considered; that definition becomes binding <strong>for</strong> all requirements in the <strong>contract</strong>. This sectionshould also contain a complete listing of all acronyms used; giving both the acronym and the term theacronym represents.PWS: Per<strong>for</strong>mance Work StatementContracting Officer's Representative (COR): A representative from the requiring activity appointed inwriting by the KO to per<strong>for</strong>m surveillance and to act as liaison to the <strong>contract</strong>or.Defective Service: A service output that does not meet the standard of per<strong>for</strong>mance associated with it inthe PWS.Quality Control (QC): Actions taken by a <strong>contract</strong>or to control the per<strong>for</strong>mance of <strong>contract</strong>ed services tomeet PWS requirements.Quality Assurance: Actions taken by the government to assure <strong>contract</strong>ed services meet PWSrequirements.Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP): A written document specifying the surveillance methodused <strong>for</strong> surveillance of <strong>contract</strong>or per<strong>for</strong>mance.Part 3: Government-furnished Items and Services3.1 Equipment. The Government shall provide all tools, computer services, cellular phone, DVD/TV,and supplies necessary during the conduct of oral translation. Government resources shall be returned tothe Government upon completion of this <strong>contract</strong>.3.2 Office Space. Conditions of workspaces provided by Colombian military <strong>for</strong>ces while working atremote sites are usually substandard and may be made available on a case-by-case basis. It should bethe expectation that no office space will be available when conducting translation and liaison services infield conditions.3.3 In<strong>for</strong>mation Manuals. The Government shall provide U.S. operational manuals and additional U.S.reference documentation required in support of this task. This includes access to password controlledmilitary and other government web sites as required.3.4 Intellectual Property. All reports, decisions, recommendations, plans and concepts, either writtenor verbal, derived by this <strong>contract</strong> shall be the property of the US Government.3.5 Services:
