OTTO MARINE LIMITEDYaw Chee SiewExecutive ChairmanMr Yaw Chee Siew is our Executive Chairman, and is responsiblefor our overall strategy and corporate governance. Prior tojoining us in 2001, Mr Yaw founded SunChase Holdings Inc, aUSA-based real estate investment and development companyin 1986 and divested all his interests in 2006. Mr Yaw is alsothe founding chairman of Perdana Parkcity Sdn Bhd, a realestate company that is currently developing a 500-acre masterplanned community in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.Lee Kok WahChief Executive Officer and Group Managing DirectorMr Lee Kok Wah is our Chief Executive Officer and GroupManaging Director, and is primarily responsible for developingand implementing the strategic plan for the entire Group, aswell as the day-to-day running of our Company. He startedhis career in the early 1970s working as a corporate financeexecutive with the Singapore International Merchant BankersLtd, before joining Neptune Orient Lines Limited in 1974 andrising through the ranks until he was running their Straits/Australia and Europe/South Asia liner services in 1982. In1984, he joined Envi Holdings Pte Ltd, which has subsidiariesoperating in the shipping, hotels, trading and mining sectors,as its general manager, before moving on to his own businessconsultancy firm in 1988.William Edward Alastair MorrisonNon-executive and Non-independent DirectorMr William Edward Alastair Morrison is our Non-executiveand Non-independent Director, and is a member of our AuditCommittee. He has more than 25 years of experience in thefinancial industry, and is currently the Co-Global Head andManaging Director at Standard Chartered Private Equity Limited,which he joined in 2002. Mr Morrison has extensive experiencein direct investment roles, having previously been with 3i Groupplc since 1981, where he left as Director of 3i Asia Pacific Ltd.Craig Foster PickettNon-executive & Non-independent DirectorMr Craig Foster Pickett is our Non-executive and NonindependentDirector, and a member of our RemunerationCommittee and Nominating Committee. He currently providesinvestment advisory services through Sunchase InvestmentsLLC. Mr Pickett also had a career in public accounting for over35 years and was a managing partner for Ernst and YoungLLP for over 21 years. He was particularly focused on publiclyregistered companies, as well as those backed by venturecapital or private equity and other fast growing enterprisesduring his tenure with Ernst and Young LLP. Mr Pickett is aCertified Public Accountant, has a Bachelor of Science degreein Economics from University of Utah and a Masters in BusinessAdministration degree from UCLA.Ng Chee KeongIndependent DirectorMr Ng Chee Keong is our Independent Director, the chairman ofour Nominating Committee and Remuneration Committee and amember of our Audit Committee. He is currently an independentdirector of Mermaid Maritime Public Company Limited; a boardmember of the Centre for Maritime Studies, National Universityof Singapore; and a non-executive director and special advisorof PSA International Pte Ltd. Mr Ng joined PSA in 1971 and heldvarious positions, including group president and chief executiveofficer, before retiring from his executive roles in 2005. Mr Ngwas awarded the Public Administration Silver Medal in 1992 andthe Public Administration Gold Medal in 1997 by the SingaporeGovernment.Reggie TheinIndependent DirectorMr Reggie Thein is our Independent Director. He is also aDirector of United Overseas Bank Limited; a Board memberand Chairman of the Audit Committee of several listedcompanies in Singapore, among them GuocoLand Limited,Haw Par Corporation Limited, GuocoLeisure Limited (formallyknown as BIL International Limited), MobileOne Ltd, KeppelTelecommunications & Transportation Limited, MFS TechnologyLtd, FJ Benjamin Holdings Ltd and Grand Banks YachtsLimited.Mr Thein is a member of the Governing Council of the SingaporeInstitute of Directors, a fellow of the Institute of CharteredAccountants in England and Wales and member of the Instituteof Certified Public Accountants of Singapore. He was previouslya Senior Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers, Vice Chairman ofCoopers & Lybrand, and Managing Partner of its managementconsulting services firm. He was awarded the Public ServiceMedal by the President of Singapore in 1999.Mr Thein attended and chaired the Audit Committee meeting ofOtto Marine held on 18 December 2008.annual report 2008 13
