This presentation will show you how to use ourcalendar charts to determine the biblical set times. The presentation begins on slide 3. This and the nextside are simply to clue the viewer in on howimportant the biblical calendar is to understandingScripture. In the last few slides, I return to the topic of thesetwo slides.

Reuben12Simeon1110LeviJudah91“And on her head a crown of twelve stars”(Revelation 12:1). Shown here are twelvenaked eye visible stars (mag 6.0 or less) .They are displayed in the free public domainprogram called Stellarium. The actual starsare highlighted with red circles and countedin the blue stars. I have put in the twelvetribes of Israel from the list in Revelation 7.The date is 8/31/ 2 BC when Messiah wasborn. Off the screen to the left is the newmoon of Tishri 1. Present for Messiah’s birthare also, the Sun, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, andVenus (which is 10 degrees below Jupiter offthe screen). Jupiter is considered the“Tzedeq” Star, or Messiah star. As inJoseph’s dream, the other stars are bowingdown to it.Ephraim/Joseph2Manasseh3Zebulun4Isaachar5Asher6Gad87NaphtaliBenjaminwww.torahtimes.org

A literal day is definedas dawn to dusk as inGenesis 1:5a, “And theAlmighty called the lightday;”The day and night cycle is shown at thetop of the calendar day boxes“And the darkness he calls night”

Annual Sabbaths are shaded purple. They begin with the night and end withthe day (i.e. sunset to sunset).Weekly Sabbaths are shaded green. They begin with the night and end withthe day (i.e. sunset to sunset).Notice how the leading edge of thegreen aligns with the leading edge ofthe dark strip indicating night. Also how the trailing edge of the greenaligns with the end of the day. Thisshows that the Sabbath is from sunsetto sunset.

The same night is in two positions inthe chart for each week. ONLY ONE canbe used depending on the type of daybeing considered! This chart isdesigned to allow all day definitions asneeded. The user must use only oneday definition at a time and not mixthem up. Sunset to sunset is forSabbaths; sunrise to sunrise for theTemple and the ordinary wake andsleep cycle.Otherwise, if a sunset to sunset day isneeded (such as an Annual Sabbath onthe first day of the week), this nightsegment is used, and the otherdisregarded. This night segment is only considered ifone needs to use the sunrise to sunrisedefinition of day. If needed, then theduplicate night segment at the start ofthe next week is ignored.

If considering creation days or Templedays for offerings, do not use the nighton this side. They are blanked out.If considering Sabbaths, sunset tosunset, then do not use the night onthis side of the chart. I have blankedthem out.

To Read Roman days, you need toignore the repeated 6 hours on eachend. I have whited them out here.

When reading the day number, in thiscase 7 th day of the week, or 5 th day ofthe month, read the day number forSabbaths by the shading (ignore thesolid line in the middle). For temple or creation days types, readthe day number between the solidlines. The day number is always set onthe daylight part of the day. Thedaylight part of the day is the same forevery day for Sabbaths, the Temple day, creation days, and Roman days. Onlywhich night is considered varies, or inthe case of a Roman day, six hours oneach side of the daylight part. Some Scriptures use one day type todefine another day type. Lev. 23:32says “on the 9 th day at setting” (this isthe sunrise-sunrise day type). Settinghappens in the middle of this day, andthe next setting in the middle of the10 th day. Thus Yom Kippur is definedfrom sunset to sunset.

The time of the new moon is shown bythe little moon. The new moon day isshaded grey, except in the case of anannual or weekly Sabbath the day isbordered in grey instead of 100% grey.On the left, the year from creation(4140 BC). On the Right, the AD system, which is correct as to Yeshua’s age for ¾of the year. On Tishri 1, add 1. Easy toremember, “on Tishri 1, add 1”; thusYeshua has his 2013 th birthday on YomTeruah this year. Of course he iswithout beginning of days, but we arereferring whole years of age completedsince he was born of a virgin.

The LAG time between sunset andmoon set in minutes. This says howmany minutes one has to see the newmoon after sunset. One will have towait at least 20 minutes.Bernard Yallop’s Q-test for the moonand interpretive message “Easilyvisible.” Yallop worked for the BritishNautical Office. The character of the new moon for thismonth is shown here. The messagesvary, saying a chance of -1 day +1 day, none at all, or whether eye witnesseswill be needed to confirm a close casewith the new moon. In the odd caseswhere witnesses cannot confirm a closecase new moon, I issue a correctedchart to agree with the witnesses.Yallop’s test for the previous day, andinterpretive message.

The Julian day number and time of thenew moon at the “best time” forsighting. This is about half of LAG timeafter sunset. The details are moretechnical. The arc of vision. This is the verticalaltitude separation between the sunand moon in degrees. This relates tohow dark it is at the time of the newmoon, and thus affects visibility. The arc of light measurement indegrees. In this case 20.9. Thismeasures the angular distance betweenthe center of the sun and the center ofthe new moon. This value is related tothe visibility of the new moon. The width of the moon’s lighted portionThis figure is more technically correctthan the arc of light since it is topocentricallydetermined.

Hyperlink to site for calculating sunsetanywhere in the world. The button willnot be shown in most charts. At the bottom of the page, acorresponding inset chart to show thenumber of days in the year countingfrom the day of the spring Tequfah(equinox). In this case, the first day ofthe month is the 183 rd day of year.Hyperlink to more technical details. Ido not normally show the button.

I show the horizon here and atransparent ground where the observerstands. The time is 16 hours, 31 minutes UTC,about the perfect time for seeing thenew moon on this date. The Heavens on Aug 31, 2 BC.Astronomers use a -1 to represent 2 BCbecause they count a 0 year thathistorians do not count.

I use the first sighting of the new moonin all our calendars. Here in 2 BC themoon lines up under the feet of Virgoon Yeshua’s birth date as indicated inRevelation 12:1-2.In conjunction methods, or the socalled “book-end” method, the moondoes not line up under the feet, but istoo close to the sun.The woman is clothed with the sunhere. Revelation 12:1-2. The sightedmoon method reproduces the sign.Conjunction methods cannot.

The reproduction of Revelation 12:1-2as a sign in heaven confirms thetestimony of Messiah Yeshua, and alsoconfirms that the sighted moon methodis Scripturally correct. False teacherscannot reproduce the scene. Watch forthem to alter the output of theirprograms. This scene is taken from thefree astronomy program Stellarium. Allobjects are as the program presentsthem. I have altered nothing.Notice the BRANCH in the RIGHT handof Virgo. The “Branch” is a Messianictitle for Messiah.Notice the sheaf of grain in the LEFThand of Virgo. “Spica” means an “earof wheat” It is a close binary star. Anear of grain is a “seed.” Seed is anotherreference to the Messiah first used inGenesis 3:15.

Notice that seven wandering “stars”have assembled for Messiah’s birth!

Complete Miss of Moon being under the feet of Virgo in 3 BCThe true facts are unforgiving.Consider the relative poverty of thisscene from 3 BC, where the stars arenot lined up for Messiah’s birth.Location of Moon on Sept11 th 3 BCBoth Jack Finegan and Ernest Martinreferenced Augustus’ enrollment as“Father of his Country” by all theRomans in 2 BC, but they incorrectlyplaced it in 3 BC by assuming that thepeople swore to it before the RomanSenate made it a law in Feb. 2 BC.The left foot is sometimesdrawn between the arrowpoints. It is still a miss.At least one website tries to redraw Virgo with the toe of theleft foot at the red dot to make it look like the moon is underthe foot in 3 BC. Ernest L. Martin in his book shows Virgostanding up with the same drawing as this website. Hisdrawing on page 85 is a drawing and not a computergenerated star chart as the one above. He shows the eclipticand the drawing of Virgo wrongly drawn below the ecliptic. While there is a little latitude in drawing the constellation,Virgo cannot be drawn the way he has it due to the star“Spica” occupying that position in the sheaf of grain seed thevirgin is holding. This put the lie to the words “Everything fitsperfectly in this relationship” that Martin wrote. The matchis perfect in 2 BC without any re-engineering of the charts.Sunset, with groundhorizon line shown.3 BC: (astronomers use a 0 year)

Another problem with the Tishri 15 (vs.Tishri 1) date is that Rev. 12 says “andshe cried out, being in labor and in painto give birth.” Miriam was already inhard labor on Tishri 1 at the new moon.“Being in labor” is a present tenseparticiple. It is not reasonable to thinkshe was in labor like this for two weeks. The Year of Messiah’s BirthIt is also not reasonable to deny thatthe sun-moon-virgin-twelve starscorrelation points to any other date forthe birth than the one indicated by theastronomical sign in heaven. This also correlates with the statedintent in Genesis 1:14 for the lights inthe heavens to be signs. If the sign isreduced to ambiguity bymisinterpretation, then its value as asign is ruined. Yahweh clearly meantthe heavenly clocks to be precise.Yeshua was born on Tishri 1, the 1 st dayof the 7 th Month after about 270 dayssince his conception.A faulty interpretation of John 1:14 and insufficientattention to the detailed correlation of Rev. 12:1-3 hascaused many to assume Yeshua was born on the first day ofthe feast of Tabernacles.“And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us”began at Messiah’s conception, and not his birth. The babyinside Miriam was Yeshua’s tabernacle for the whole ninemonths. Yeshua was among his people for his whole life, starting at conception. John’s statement is not meant todecode to Tishri 15, but to underscore the importance ofYahweh taking on human form.

The use of the sighted new moon to confirmthis date shows that the sighted new moonmethod is the correct Scriptural method fordetermining the new moon.Conjunction methods cannot achieve thiswith both Messiah’s birth on Tishri 1, andhis crucifixion on Aviv (or Nisan) 14.
