The majority <strong>of</strong> anglers had householdincomes <strong>of</strong> $50,000 or more.Among anglers who reported income,60 percent were from households withincomes <strong>of</strong> $50,000 or more <strong>and</strong> 40percent were from households withincomes less than $50,000.Education, Race <strong>and</strong> EthnicityPeople <strong>of</strong> all educational backgroundshad similar participation rates. Thosewith 11 years <strong>of</strong> education or lesshad a participation rate <strong>of</strong> 12 percent.Those with 12 years <strong>of</strong> education had aparticipation rate <strong>of</strong> 13 percent. Thosewith 1 to 4 years <strong>of</strong> college had thehighest participation rate at 15 percent.The second highest participation rate,14 percent, was held by those with 5years or more <strong>of</strong> college.While the highest participation rateis among those with 1 to 4 years <strong>of</strong>college, participants with 12 years <strong>of</strong>education made up the largest share<strong>of</strong> anglers.
