and Cricket Captain for 2010. He is currently playing with the first fifteen Rugby
team, and hopes to be selected for the first eleven Soccer team again this year.
A talented musician, Timothy was selected Music Captain for 2010. He plays
cello in two College ensembles, sings in the College choir and Senior Vocal
Group, and plays bass in the College Jazz Big Band.
Within the College community he participates in the social justice committee and
the Boys Education Advisory Committee. His time management, self- discipline
and ability to stay focused on the task at hand are the keys to his success, and
he is an outstanding ambassador for his school.
Nathan Jackson ñ Moreton Bay Boys College
Nathan joined Moreton Bay Boys College at the
start of Year 11 in 2009, and made an
immediate impression on the college community
with his commitment to study, strong sense of
social justice and empathy to fellow students,
also offering offered his expertise in all things
Apple and Macñrelated to - students and staff
alike. As well, Nathan undertook the Silver Duke
of Edinburgh award, including two adventurous
journeys and 12 months of community service.
This year, Nathan became College Vice-Captain, working positively and
cooperatively with staff, and students of all ages. He was one of four boys to
attend the World Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championships in
Lithuania. This is an annual international English speaking tournament for high
school level students representing different countries. At this event he was a
wonderful ambassador, both for his school and Australia.
This young man is intelligent, sociable and articulate, with a drive and
enthusiasm to succeed. Nathanís strength of character is reflected in the mature
relationships that he has developed with his peers and as a result of a number of
personal challenges this past year, including the death of his father. He has
been a great support to his mother and younger sister through this difficult time.
Nathan is planning a trip to Canada to celebrate the end of year 12, before
pursuing his chosen study path.

Rebecca was nominated for this award for her worthy
contribution to the school and wider community. She
cooperates with others in achieving scholastic & school
community objectives, has positive life attitudes, &
enjoys good relationships with staff & fellow students.
Rebecca is an excellent student who has participated
in many extra curricular activities with the school
community including the school musical, the Spring
Parade and the RNA Eisteddfod.
