Weekly News<br />
Run/Walk 4 Bibles<br />
Thank you for all your efforts in raising funds for this<br />
worthy cause. So far a total of $688.00 has been raised.<br />
Please return any outstanding forms and money<br />
collected to the Office ASAP so we can finalise and<br />
send off the funds raised. Please return all forms to the<br />
Office whether sponsors were collected or not.<br />
Orientation Day<br />
We will have our 2012 Orientation Day on Tuesday<br />
December 6 th this year. Grade 6 students will also be<br />
involved in transition/orientation activities around this<br />
time.<br />
Loud Shirt Day<br />
We had a colourful day at School last Friday as many<br />
of us came to school wearing a ‘loud’ shirt. Thank you<br />
for making the effort to dress up and raise funds for<br />
children suffering from hearing impairments.<br />
students involved have made tremendous progress and<br />
have put together some amazing routines! Well done!<br />
We will hopefully see some of their skills at our<br />
Family ight on Thursday December 8th.<br />
Enrichment Activities<br />
This week will be the last week for enrichment<br />
activities. Students are enjoying the activities and are<br />
producing some great work. Thanks to our parents,<br />
grandparents and staff for providing these fun<br />
activities.<br />
Cluster Activity Day<br />
On Monday ovember 14 th we will be travelling to<br />
Eagle Point P.S. to participate in a day of activities<br />
with our Cluster friends. Students will be divided into<br />
class groups for activities organised by teachers from<br />
each of the Cluster Schools.<br />
Loud Shirt Day<br />
Jump Rope Team<br />
Congratulations to our very own Jump Rope<br />
Demonstration team after presenting a very successful<br />
skipping demonstration for Children’s Week in the<br />
Nicholson Place Mall last week.<br />
Today they are off to Melbourne to compete in a<br />
statewide Skipping competition. A big thank you to<br />
Mrs Boonstra for coaching the team each week. The<br />
Sean Smith Concert<br />
We all enjoyed a lively and entertaining time with Sean<br />
Smith as he sang and taught us some new songs and<br />
actions on Monday afternoon. We jumped, danced,<br />
clapped and sang great new worship and fun songs.<br />
2012 Enrolments<br />
If you have any outstanding enrolment forms for 2012<br />
please send them in as soon as possible so we can plan<br />
for next year more accurately.<br />

Board Report<br />
Over the past few months we have worked on our<br />
Strategic Plan for the next 5 years. This has now been<br />
finalised and printed copies will soon be available to<br />
members and any interested families.<br />

Sean Smith Concert<br />
Life Education<br />
Next Friday, ovember 11th, the Life Education Van<br />
will be visiting the School to conduct information<br />
sessions for our students in the areas of health and<br />
wellbeing. Prep to Grade 4 students will be focusing on<br />
healthy living and emotional wellbeing and the Grade<br />
5/6 students will be focusing on alcohol, its effects and<br />
abuse.<br />
A parent session has been planned for and will go for<br />
30 minutes from 9.00 am - 9.30 am on the day of the<br />
visit. I will attach a notice to this newsletter for you to<br />
read. Please use the tear off response slip to let us<br />
know if you will be attending the Parent Information<br />
session.<br />
I have had experience with this program before and<br />
found it to be well presented and most beneficial,<br />
relevant and appropriate. Please feel free to chat to me<br />
if you have any questions.<br />
Remembrance Day<br />
We have poppy badges and armbands for sale in the<br />
office to raise money to support the RSL Poppy<br />
Appeal. Badges are $2 and $5, Armbands are $3. We<br />
have plenty of both so please show your support for<br />
our soldiers, both past and present.<br />

3 3rd <strong>November</strong> <strong>2011</strong><br />
Family Bush Dance<br />
Parents and Friends are organising a School Family Bush Dance to be held on<br />
Saturday ovember 12 th at the Lucknow Hall on the Omeo Highway in Lucknow.<br />
Come along and bring your dinner at 6.00 pm then we will start dancing at 7.00 pm.<br />
The whole evening will finish at about 9.00 pm.<br />
We are getting a ‘band’ organised. To help defray the costs we have decided to charge<br />
$10 per family for the night.<br />
It has been a long time since we have had a School Bush Dance so come along and join us for a<br />
great night of fun and fellowship.<br />
Jump Rope Team<br />
The Jump Rope Team did a great job performing in the<br />
Nicholson Place Mall last Friday for Children’s Week.<br />
Thank you to Rachael Bronstring for assisting with<br />
transport.<br />
Today (Thursday), some of the team are in Melbourne<br />
participating in a state skipping competition. Please<br />
pray for safety as we travel long distances.<br />
Next Monday 7th ovember will be our break up.<br />
Students in the team are invited to stay for a movie and<br />
party to celebrate a great year. This will conclude at<br />
6pm.<br />

fulltime upper-primary teacher and a part time primary<br />
teacher for the commencement of Term 1 2012.<br />
Applicants should have appropriate registration,<br />
qualifications and an ability to integrate a <strong>Christian</strong><br />
worldview into every aspect of their work.<br />
We are looking for applicants who are technologically<br />
literate and willing to actively contribute to the vision<br />
of BCCS.<br />
