Three juicy, shapy lemons in a row, it is the full
pot, JACKPOT!
All your dreams of wealth and contentment
have come through.
The motif of this work has been chosen from
the global visual language of slotmachines
and gambling. The theme is of course not as
nice as it seems in the above promise. It
contains a possible future of bankruptcy and
addiction. The self-made-slow-jackpot
offers an alternative way of gaining happiness
and contentment than the slot machine
at the mall.
Luck and fortune, money and quality, can also
be debated under this topic. The idea of fast
money and success that surrounds us today
Does not work in real life.
As the saying goes: “If life gives you lemons,
make lemonade”
And I say: Just ad some sugar from the sweetness
of your heart.
I have developed a new technique, where I
weave the tapestry directly on a circular or
oval frame. This technique gives the piece a
precise expression, and it puts emphasis on
the piece as an object, rather than a piece
of cloth.
