This project documents the living history <strong>of</strong> men who are members <strong>of</strong><br />

Men's Sheds around <strong>Victoria</strong> - I was interested in painting the story <strong>of</strong><br />

their lives as seen in their faces as well as recording their history and<br />

why they came to the Men's Shed Association.<br />

A readable compilation <strong>of</strong> treasured memories <strong>of</strong> Wonthaggi citizens<br />

migration, strikes, hard times, war and childhood antics.... These stories<br />

From Vision to Reality: The Kindilan Story 1972 to<br />

This history traces the origins <strong>of</strong> the Kindilan School society in 1972,<br />

fights for government funding, increasing client numbers, pivotal staff<br />

members and their changing vision for the organisation. 'From Vision to<br />

Reality' documents changes in legislation, funding and models <strong>of</strong> care<br />

within the context <strong>of</strong> the new National Disability Insurance Scheme.<br />

Ray Parkin's Odyssey<br />

CPO Ray Parkin AM, RAN; artist, author, POW and philosopher.<br />

Through POW artwork and diaries, this explores Ray's journey<br />

from Collingwood 1910 to his battle on the HMAS Perth in 1942<br />

and his years <strong>of</strong> imprisonment on the Thai Burma Railway and<br />

Japan. Through this hardship, a natural observer <strong>of</strong> nature, men<br />

and life at its best and most dangerous.<br />
