Its founder was Sir Redmond Barry, a judge <strong>of</strong> the Supreme Court<br />

leading involvement in the creation <strong>of</strong> libraries and other major<br />

public institutions for the new, thriving Colony <strong>of</strong> <strong>Victoria</strong>. This book<br />

recounts the Library's founding and development.<br />
