Most of the global producers manufacture crystalline silicon <strong>solar</strong> <strong>cells</strong> with the<br />

technological process schematically presented in Figure 11. The applied base material<br />

are boron-doped monocrystalline silicon plates Cz-Si, type p, 200 µm thick, with the<br />

surface crystallographic orientation of (100), the resistivity of ~ 1 Ωcm <strong>and</strong> the charge<br />

carrier lifetime of τ ~ 20 µs. In the case of polycrystalline plates, the value of τ is<br />

usually lower, the crystallographic orientation is determined by the orientation<br />

of particular grains, <strong>and</strong> the remaining parameters are identical with those of the Cz-<br />

Si plates.<br />
