2.5 Construction <strong>and</strong> <strong>production</strong> process of crystalline silicon <strong>solar</strong> <strong>cells</strong><br />

<strong>Silicon</strong> <strong>solar</strong> <strong>cells</strong> are constructed of a few basic elements which allow not only<br />

for a conversion of the electromagnetic radiation into direct current but also to lead<br />

the current to the outer circuit. Figure 10 shows a construction scheme of a classic<br />

silicon <strong>solar</strong> cell made in the screen process technology, produced by most of the<br />

global <strong>solar</strong> cell manufacturers.<br />
