Sampling from a <strong>Complex</strong> Design<br />

Click Refresh Strata to repopulate the grid with e<strong>ac</strong>h combination of label<strong>ed</strong> data<br />

values for variables in the grid.<br />

Exclude. To specify sizes for a subset of stratum/cluster combinations, move one or<br />

more variables to the Exclude l<strong>is</strong>t. These variables are not us<strong>ed</strong> to define sample sizes.<br />

Th<strong>is</strong> step allows you to choose variables to save when the sample <strong>is</strong> drawn.<br />

Population size. The estimat<strong>ed</strong> number of units in the population for a given stage.<br />

The root name for the sav<strong>ed</strong> variable <strong>is</strong> PopulationSize_.<br />

Sample proportion. The sampling rate at a given stage. The root name for the sav<strong>ed</strong><br />

variable <strong>is</strong> SamplingRate_.
