The Dakota County Fairgrounds are located on the southern edge <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />

Farmington.<br />

Credit River Township contains some neighborhood parks <strong>and</strong> will continue to<br />

establish additional new neighborhood parks as part <strong>of</strong> the development <strong>of</strong> residential<br />

subdivisions. The Township also contains portions <strong>of</strong> two large regional parks, Murphy-<br />

Hanrehan <strong>and</strong> Cleary Lake, <strong>and</strong> Legends Golf Club. New Market Township currently<br />

does not have park facilities, but does have a 15-acre parcel owned by the DNR known<br />

as Spartina Wildlife Management Area.<br />

The Townships adjoining <strong>Lakeville</strong> do not <strong>of</strong>fer any community playfields. The<br />

Townships continue to be reliant on playfield facilities within adjacent municipalities for<br />

organized league sports.<br />

School District Facilities<br />

<strong>Lakeville</strong> residents are served by three different school districts including <strong>Lakeville</strong><br />

(District 194), Rosemount (District 196), <strong>and</strong> Farmington (District 192), refer to Map 11.<br />

Table 15 summarizes recreational or athletic facilities owned by the School Districts that<br />

<strong>Lakeville</strong> residents have access. Additionally, residents <strong>of</strong> the Rosemount School<br />

District have access to youth <strong>and</strong> adult indoor activities <strong>and</strong> community education<br />

classes provided by the Rosemount Athletic Association.<br />
