CHICKPEAS – Ascochyta blight Ascochyta rabiei, causal agent of Ascochyta blight of chickpeas, is a high-risk pathogen for development of fungicide resistance. Headline, Quadris, and other strobilurin (QoI) fungicides no longer work. Usage patterns for Proline place the DMI chemistries at risk.
CHICKPEAS – Ascochyta blight Rotation of fungicides with different modes of action is needed to prevent or at least delay the development of fungicide resistance. Proline is a DMI fungicide (FRAC 3). • Chlorothalonil (FRAC M) is an acceptable rotational product. • Endura (FRAC 7), Priaxor (FRAC 7 + 11), and Vertisan (FRAC 7) are acceptable rotational products.
