Lecture exams will primarily focus on verbal descriptions of the structures studied. Some questions will also require relating structure with function. 2. Laboratory quizzes will primarily focus on identification of structures. Some questions relating structure with function will be included. 1

RULES AND REGULATIONS<br />

1. Exams will be given from 10-12 A. M. on the indicated days. Missed exams will be<br />

scored as 0. Make-ups will only be given in cases of absences excused by the<br />

instructor. Lack of preparation will NOT be accepted as an excuse.<br />

2. Quizzes will be given at 2 PM on the indicated days. Quizzes will primarily cover the<br />

preceding laboratory material, but students are responsible for ALL laboratory<br />

material from the beginning of the course on each Quiz. Missed quizzes will be<br />

scored as 0 unless the absence is excused by the instructor. Make-ups will not be<br />

given during Jan. Term . Students with a single quiz absence excused by the<br />

instructor will not be graded on the missed quiz. Students who miss more than 1 quiz<br />

due to excused absences will be given an incomplete grade and must make up the<br />

missed quizzes during the first week of Spring Semester.<br />

3. The laboratory will be closed from 12-2 PM on Quiz days.<br />

4. No slides or microscopes may be removed from the laboratory at any time or for any<br />

reason during Jan. term without the instructor's permission. Hiding slides from other<br />

members of the class will be treated as theft and will be prosecuted as an Academic<br />

Integrity offense. Slides are considered as course library materials under the Code of<br />

Academic Integrity.<br />

All work turned in by each student must represent his or her own thoughts and<br />

knowledge and must carefully assign credit to sources of information as explained<br />

under the Code of Academic Integrity. Cheating and plagiarism will be prosecuted<br />

under the Code of Academic Integrity.<br />
