●Procure funding that will enhance the School's reputation amongst peer<br />

institutions and prospective students<br />

Short-term action steps (one year)<br />

●Utilize the post-Katrina environment to enlist additional funding from<br />

both the private and public sectors. Increase current levels of funding by<br />

300%<br />

●Launch a newly configured fundraising campaign to focus on the<br />

School's position in a post-Katrina environment, as well as the School's<br />

subscription to the <strong>Tulane</strong> Renewal Plan<br />

c. Establish and develop selected, focused post-professional and interdisciplinary<br />

programs that enhance the academic quality and reputation of the School;<br />

provide research opportunities and support for faculty, and generally have a<br />

beneficial influence on the intellectual environment.<br />

● Inaugurate new curricular offerings, including a Masters of<br />

<strong>Architecture</strong>/Masters in Business Administration Degree and a Masters of<br />

<strong>Architecture</strong>/Masters of Environmental Law Degree and a Masters of<br />

<strong>Architecture</strong> and Urban Design Degree<br />

●Continue to enhance the interdisciplinary components of the architecture<br />

curriculum, to include both urban studies and other areas of faculty<br />

involvement<br />

Short-term action steps (one year)<br />

●Develop a plan for new curricular offerings, including a Masters of<br />

<strong>Architecture</strong>/Masters in Business Administration Degree, a Masters of<br />

<strong>Architecture</strong>/Masters of Environmental Law Degree and a Masters of<br />

<strong>Architecture</strong> and Urban Design Degree. Stage the plan according to<br />

academic years<br />

●Develop and implement new curricular strategies for all programs<br />

●Proceed with benchmarking and analysis of peer and aspirant programs<br />

for the School of <strong>Architecture</strong><br />

d. Target post-professional graduate programs that are within our capacity to make<br />

a distinctive niche and which will also provide a significant source of
