●Create a <strong>New</strong> <strong>Orleans</strong> Urban Design Studio, to reside at the <strong>Tulane</strong> City<br />
Center in downtown <strong>New</strong> <strong>Orleans</strong>, to reflect the response to the post-<br />
Katrina issues in the City of <strong>New</strong> <strong>Orleans</strong> and the region<br />
●Create a Center for the Study of Leisure and Tourism<br />
●Reinvigorate the <strong>Tulane</strong> Regional Urban Design Center (TRUDC) and<br />
move location to City Center in downtown <strong>New</strong> <strong>Orleans</strong>. Require the<br />
TRUDC to recommit to its original charge of regional urban design<br />
Short-term action steps (one year)<br />
●Develop and implement new website promoting the character and<br />
distinction of the School of <strong>Architecture</strong>, in particular the new<br />
opportunities that exist in the post-Katrina environment such as Service<br />
Learning, Urban Design studios, Urban Studies courses and other<br />
interdisciplinary areas<br />
●Develop and implement new curricular strategies for all programs,<br />
particularly as they respond to the post-Katrina opportunity of an<br />
enhanced and timely curriculum<br />
●Proceed with benchmarking and analysis of peer and aspirant programs<br />
for the School of <strong>Architecture</strong><br />

Ensure adequate and stable funding of the school through elevating the school's<br />
reputation amongst key stakeholders and launching an aggressive fundraising
