Interim Director, <strong>Tulane</strong> City Center: The role of the Director at the<br />

<strong>Tulane</strong> Center Center (TCC) will consist of responsibilities in all aspects<br />

of three general focus areas: 1) external outreach, 2) fiscal, and 3)<br />

internal operations. The Director will report directly to the Dean of the<br />

<strong>Tulane</strong> School of <strong>Architecture</strong> (TSA) and will work within a framework of<br />

an executive board with the Dean of the <strong>Tulane</strong> School of <strong>Architecture</strong>,<br />

the Deputy Director of the <strong>Tulane</strong> City Center and the Deputy Director of<br />

the <strong>Tulane</strong>/Xavier Center for Bioenvironmental Research (a founding<br />

partner of the TCC).<br />

The Director of the <strong>Tulane</strong> City Center will be responsible for outreach<br />

and development in numerous capacities and will be responsible to<br />

represent the TCC, TSA and <strong>Tulane</strong> <strong>University</strong> within municipal,<br />

professional, academic and community environments at local, regional,<br />

national and international levels. The Director will participate in and/or<br />

host conferences, symposia, will pursue speaking engagements, and will<br />

contribute to publications and research related to the mission of the TCC.<br />

The Director will actively pursue funding streams to ensure that the<br />

administrative and program related costs are covered. The Director will<br />

oversee the development and strategic planning of all aspects of<br />

marketing and the coordination of outreach materials, brochures and<br />

websites associated with the TCC. The Director will be responsible, along<br />

with the Deputy Director, for administration and management of projects,<br />

staff, design direction, internal operations and purchasing.<br />

The Director will also be responsible for working with and contributing to<br />

the various related project streams associated with the CITYbuild<br />

Consortium of Schools of which TCC is the host academy and the TSA<br />

URBANbuild. The Director will also engage the TSA Faculty to pursue<br />

applied research projects through the TCC and to deliver semiannual<br />

presentations on the activities, achievements and upcoming opportunities<br />

and initiatives of the TCC.<br />

Assistant Director, <strong>Tulane</strong> City Center: Daniel Etheridge The Assistant<br />

Director (AD) of the <strong>Tulane</strong> City Center (TCC) will be directing, with the<br />

TCC Director, all aspects of management and administration of the TCC.<br />

As a new center at the <strong>Tulane</strong> School of <strong>Architecture</strong>, the AD will be<br />

expected to establish and oversee the development of administrative<br />

protocols within the TCC. The AD will also be responsible for identifying<br />

and pursuing funding for the TCC’s administrative and programmatic<br />

costs, as well as managing active accounts for which the AD is signatory.<br />

In addition to working with the Director of the TCC and Dean of the<br />

School of <strong>Architecture</strong> to identify programmatic opportunities and<br />

outreach materials, the AD will be required to supervise TCC staff and<br />

student workers. The AD will also be responsible for facilitating TCC<br />

partnerships on and off campus, particularly with the <strong>Tulane</strong>/Xavier<br />

Center for Bioenvironmental Research (a founding partner of the TCC).<br />
