Dean (Scott Bernhard—Interim Dean): Overall responsibility for<br />

instruction, academic direction, and faculty matters, including curriculum,<br />

course development and teaching assignments. Development and<br />

execution of university and school policies. Acts as an academic officer<br />

of the university.<br />

Associate Dean: Job Description as determined by the Dean and<br />

Executive Committee.<br />

Executive Assistant: (Nicole Heyman): Nicole Heyman is considered<br />

the "Chief of Staff" for the <strong>Tulane</strong> School of <strong>Architecture</strong>. She coordinates<br />

all aspects of administration of the school, as well as the Dean's personal<br />

and professional schedule. She participates in budget oversight and<br />

supervision. Ms. Heyman works with the Dean to manage all aspects of<br />

the business administration of the School. In addition, Ms. Heyman<br />

coordinates external affairs for the School, including the communication<br />

with the Dean's Advisory Council, alumni and professional constituents of<br />

the School.<br />

Assistant Dean (Wendy Sack): Directs external relations for the school<br />

with the goal of raising the public awareness of the School of<br />

<strong>Architecture</strong> on community, regional, and national levels. This individual<br />

is the main contact for alumni of the School of <strong>Architecture</strong>, with the goal<br />

of facilitating a positive relationship through communications, receptions<br />

and personal relationships. Coordinates Board of Advisors functions and<br />

communications. Ms. Sack also acts as liaison between the faculty and<br />

the Dean as regards both TSA and <strong>University</strong> policies, external agencies<br />

such as NAAB and ACSA, faculty meetings, and institutional files. She<br />

also acts as co-manager of the general administrative office and<br />

participates in budget oversight. She acts as Academic Recruiter and<br />

Advisor to prospective students at the undergraduate level, and she<br />

monitors job openings for graduates and organizes Career Day. She also<br />

organizes major events such as Commencement and receptions for<br />

lectures, and acts as student advisor to the ASG (Associated Student<br />

Government).<br />

Budget Coordinator (Kathy Branley): Responsible for every aspect of<br />

account and budget management for the <strong>Tulane</strong> School of <strong>Architecture</strong>.<br />

She maintains all aspects of accounting for the School including<br />

deposits, receipts, requests for payments, faculty and staff payroll,<br />

student worker supervision, all aspects of Grant financial management.<br />

In addition, Ms. Branley oversees the implementation of all summer and<br />

overseas programs for the school. She assists in the coordination of<br />

commencement, lecture series, and external affairs. Ms. Branley is<br />

further responsible for preparation of special reports for the NAAB,<br />

ACSA, AIA, NIAE and for the Dean and Provost as requested.<br />

Project Assistant (----): The <strong>Tulane</strong> School of <strong>Architecture</strong> Receptionist<br />

and Student Worker Coordinator. He/she interacts with Parents,<br />

Students, Faculty and Staff to ensure the day to day management of the<br />

office. He/she assists the Faculty and Staff in routine office duties<br />

including supervising mail distribution, ordering supplies, managing office<br />

machine maintenance, copying, faxing, and general secretarial duties for
