• Perifollicular purpura<br />
• Large ecchymoses on the lower legs<br />
• Intramuscular <strong>and</strong> periosteal hemorrhage<br />
• Keratotic plugging of hair follicles<br />
• Hemorrhagic gingivitis (when patient has poor<br />
oral hygiene)<br />
• Remember to take a dietary history in all<br />
patients with purpura<br />
