The other night, after a car pursuit, the passenger hid
in a heavily wooded area. One of my guys was on
the perimeter and when the search team flushed him
out, he was able to see the actor sneaking out under
the concealment (or so he thought) of darkness. He
was apprehended in an under the roadway tunnel
by my team member. This particular bad guy was on
our 10 most wanted list and had evaded our officers 7
previous times - once earlier in the same day.
The unit has definitely made our job easier and more
productive. I appreciate the officer safety factor
that the unit brings to the table. The zoom enables
me to position officers at positions that offer more
cover, distance, and control than Gen 3 night vision.
Of course, the safety of my officers is paramount
and I worry less when I can keep them in a tactically
advantageous position.”
Dauphin County Drug Task Force “I was using it
on surveillance in the evening hours at an apartment
complex that was very poorly lit. The apartment street
lighting was spaced far apart and no lighting was
near the suspects entry which was about 40 feet away
from the street. The evening was cloudy and very
little natural light was available. With the naked eye,
I was unable to observe anything from my position
of surveillance in a vehicle positioned about 40 or
50 yards from the target location. This investigation
required the police to be able to see the suspect come
and go from the front door of the residence without
being too close that the investigation would be
compromised.
I then used the SuperVision and was stunned. I could
not believe how the front door of the residence was
now in perfect sight which I was not able to determine
with my naked eye. With my naked eye I was not even
able to see that multiple doorways existed. Now with
the SuperVision in use I was able to see the suspect,
observe the exact doorway that was being used by
the suspect, the number on the doorway and vehicle
registrations that were associated with this residence.
This was all done from inside my undercover vehicle.
This is definitely a valuable tool for law enforcement.”
US Forest Service “On one particular night another
agent and I were on LP/OP assignments approximately
250 yards from a known “drop” location. My partner
was equipped with a typical Gen 3 green light scope
and I with my SuperVision. As the targets approached,
I was able, with the zoom capabilities, to capture
all the activities taking place to include bundle
exchanges where my partner could only see “ants on
the hillside”. I looked through his green light scope just
for comparison sake and saw exactly that, “ants on a

60 pound narcotics exchange, the subsequent arrest of
4 individuals and the seizure of 2 firearms.!”

Night Vision Product Overview
Night vision products come in a variety of product types based on the particular application. They can further be
divided between analog light amplification (image intensified or I2) devices, thermal imagery devices and digital
viewing devices (so-called Digital Night Vision). SuperVision employs a radically different technological platform to
provide enhanced visual information in high definition and high contrast to identify objects viewed, over a much
broader range of night-time conditions, specifically designed for law enforcement.
Light amplification devices provide a viewable image to the user during
low-light conditions by amplifying the available ambient light in the
environment. Typically, they amplify the ambient light by factors of
20,000 to 50,000 times. Analog light amplification devices are referred to
as Gen I, Gen II or Gen III, with increasingly higher amplification with
progressive generations. Since the end of the cold war, significant numbers
of Gen I, Gen II, Gen II+ and Russian night vision devices have become
available on the commercial market. Gen III, the current military standard,
is designed to detect opposing forces under triple-canopy rural conditions.
The second main type of night vision device is a thermal imaging device.
These devices detect and process the heat signature of a particular object
and display this image to the user independent of the ambient light. A
particular benefit of thermal imaging devices is that they can penetrate
dust, smoke and snow and provide their image to the user in conditions
that otherwise would significantly hamper light amplification devices.
The last type of night vision device is digital night vision. These devices
employ inexpensive consumer-grade CCD camera technology, coupled with
low-cost, low resolution near-eye displays, poor quality lenses and clusters of LEDs for active illumination. These
devices provide poor quality images at distance of no greater than 30 feet using active illumination. Without use of
their active illumination, these devices are useless at night.
Capability Gaps for Law Enforcement
All types of military night vision devices have made inroads with law enforcement and security. However, designed
for military missions, each of these products have technical limitations that prevent them from meeting the needs
of law enforcement and security. Night vision devices, whether analog or digital, are characterized by their limited
intra-scene dynamic range. For example, analog night vision devices offer the capacity to detect objects in low-light
conditions. However, in a night-time urban environment characterized by bright lights intermixed with areas of
darkness and shadows, as well as dynamic lighting conditions, analog devices, that are intolerant of high ambient
light, bloom and can be damaged when observing bright sources under low-light conditions.
Thermal imagers detect and display surface temperatures only – when objects and surrounding temperatures are the
same, objects are difficult to discern.
Both analog night vision and thermal imaging devices are designed for the military battelfield to detect objects, and
employ 1X magnification (same as the naked eye) to do so. These technologies cannot provide enough contrast, detail
or resolution to recognize or identify civilian from insurgent, innocent bystander from perp.

Unlike most post Desert Storm Gen I, Gen II or Gen III image intensified night vision devices that have been
adopted for law enforcement, SuperVision has been built from the ground up, especially designed for police and
agents and their special requirements in an increasingly dangerous urban environment. While there are plenty
of night vision and thermal imaging products on the market, only SuperVision is so unique that it’s in a class by
itself.
SuperVision is designed specifically for law enforcement to fill the void in performance and versatility left by night
vision and thermal imaging technologies. SuperVision gives law enforcement officers and agents what you need –
crystal clear, high definition, high contrast visual information – no matter what the conditions are (from pitch black
to dusk or daylight, even with bright light in otherwise dark scenes) without blooming, and zoom for getting close –
for unmatched situational awareness, intelligence and evidence so critical to the job.
SuperVision’s proprietary architecture combines:
• the most light sensitive CCD sensor available today – for extreme low light viewing;
• a High Definition (HD) black & white display – to project the scene in ultra-high resolution and high contrast –
for superior detail and situational awareness;
• proprietary digital signal processing – affords the ultimate in versatility – allows you to see every detail in lowlight
conditions, high-light conditions, and with bright light in low-light scenes without blooming, even full
daylight
• 2-8X variable zoom – to get you in close to the exact details you need, without actually having to get close (in
contrast to the 1X of the more tactically oriented conventional I2 devices);
• covert infrared illumination – undetectable by the naked eye, lights up the scene for maximum fidelity in even
the darkest situations

HIGH-DEFINITION NIGHT VISION
SV100 SuperVision -- SuperVision is in a class by itself, filling the void in performance
and versatility left by other technologies. Combining the most sensitive solid state
CCD sensor available today, proprietary digital signal processing, wide dynamic
range capability and HDTV display, SuperVision allows you to see in very
low-light conditions, high-light conditions, and with bright light
in low-light scenes, with crisp high definition, high contrast
black and white detail, without blooming, up to 300 meters
away. SuperVision’s 2X-8X variable zoom enables you to detect

NHTIR150 Tactical IR Illuminator (880 nm) with Mount -- The Tactical IR Illuminator is
designed for those times when you need to see in total darkness (i.e. in a cave or windowless
building). The Tactical IR Illuminator features a high-power 880 nm LED with a plano-convex
lens for a collimated beam for covert illumination. The Tactical IR beam is focusable and
intensity is variable with a range of up to 100+ meters, allowing you to adjust to different
conditions from near to far. The Tactical IR Illuminator is constructed from aerospace-grade
aluminum, hard anodized for corrosion resistance, is waterproof and weighs 4.2 oz. w/ battery.
The Tactical IR Illuminator runs up to 3 hrs. at max power with its single CR123 battery, 6.5 hrs.
at medium power, and up to 8 hrs. on its low setting. Dimensions: Length: 5.2” (flood mode),

SA400 Digital Battery Charger -- The Digital Battery Charger is a dual-bay smart charger
capable of recharging the SuperVision Lithium Ion Battery (18650) via either AC 100-240V

plug and a flexible coil cord for DC charging in a vehicle. Each charging bay is equipped with
