Global demand for renewable<br />
energy is booming, buoyed by<br />
the investment prospects for<br />
wind and solar power in China<br />
and the USA. This is good news<br />
for France, according to Serge<br />
Savasta, who points out that<br />
“worldwide investment in the<br />
sector climbed by 16% in 2014<br />
to $310 billion 1 ”. About half<br />
of this went to photovoltaics<br />
($150 billion), especially rooftop<br />
