Fitness Class Descriptions<br />

ABtastic!: a 30 minute booster for core and abs made to increase your core strength and to lose inches in your waist.<br />

Bootcamp: an intense total body workout that will challenge you with cardio, resistance, and interval training.<br />

Booty Blast: a 30 minute express <strong>class</strong> intended to work your glutes for a more toned and lifted bottom.<br />

Cardio Kick Skills & Drills Join the fun with intense and Active punch and kick routines that will keep you moving!! This <strong>class</strong> is built to burn calories and use<br />

muscles that you do not use during everyday activities !!!!!<br />

Cycle: Hills, jumps, sprints, o my! Take your cycling workout indoors with an intense, fun ride! * Sign up before <strong>class</strong> at the front desk to reserve your cycle<br />

bike!<br />

Fit Kids!: A new <strong>class</strong> that will engage children in regular exercise disguised as Fun! This Class will introduce children to Circuit Training, Speed/Agility and<br />

Games/Relays. Class will include a warm up, stretch, 40 minutes of fun exercise and end with a cool down and stretching. Ages 6+ can enjoy this <strong>class</strong>!<br />

Fit ‘n Stretch: a 30 minute stretch and flexibility <strong>class</strong>.<br />

Floor & Core: Work on strength and stability of the abdominals and back muscles in this 30-minute <strong>class</strong> that implements creative routines using mats and<br />

stability balls. No choreography. All <strong>fitness</strong> levels welcome.<br />

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training): This 30 minute workout is a quick way to get an intense workout! Expect repeated bouts of short duration, high intensity<br />

intervals intermingled with lower intensity intervals of active recovery.<br />

Insanity : This is a super high level workout, where your heart rate is raised to 80% or more, it causes your body to use fast-twitch<br />

muscle fibers that are usually not used in cardio exercise!! The only gear you will need is a bottle of water!!!<br />

Interval 3-2-1: Join this fresh way to train your full body by focusing on Cardio (3!!!) , Strength (2!!), and Abdominals (1!). This combination will target multiple<br />

areas and have you sweating in 3-2-1!!!!!!<br />

Interval Cross Training: Stuck in a rut with the same old cardio routine? Time to switch it up! This <strong>class</strong> will be held on the second floor and will utilize a variety<br />

of equipment, from treadmills to bikes, as well as the track.<br />

Intro to Foam Rolling: This <strong>class</strong> is designed for the overall well-being of muscles and joints through basic stretch and myofascial release using foam rollers.<br />

Line Dancing: Are you ready to dance those inches OFF??? Have a blast while you blast off calories!!! This energizing <strong>class</strong> will introduce beginning moves<br />

that build basic line dancing routines!!!! All <strong>fitness</strong> levels are welcome, so saddle up and get ready to Boogie!!!<br />

Lunch Crunch: Join the fun at lunch time with this Instructor’s choice <strong>class</strong> making for a fun exercise experience for all <strong>fitness</strong> levels!!!!<br />

Kid’s Calisthenics and Play: This <strong>class</strong> will supply kids with exercise and motion through high energy <strong>fitness</strong> games, relays and other physical activities. Ages<br />

6+ can enjoy this <strong>class</strong>!<br />

Silver Sneakers Muscular Strength & Range of Movement: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular<br />

strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a Silver Sneakers ball are offered for resistance. A<br />

chair is used for seated and/or standing support.<br />

Step: an aerobic workout performed by stepping up onto and down from The Step. This is a cardio based <strong>class</strong> that will increase your endurance and<br />

cardiovascular health.<br />

Strength and Core: focuses on major muscle groups including biceps, chest, gluts, abs and quads in a group exercise, body sculpting <strong>class</strong>.<br />

Sunshine Seniors: a fun and upbeat <strong>fitness</strong> <strong>class</strong> for anyone over the age of 60. This <strong>class</strong> uses a variety of low impact, easy to learn exercises to ignite health<br />

and <strong>fitness</strong> in the older population.<br />

Tone and Flex: This high intensity <strong>class</strong> is focused on large muscle groups through strength and conditioning exercises. Caution: this is a full body workout<br />

meant for experienced exercisers.<br />

Yoga: In a flowing sequence of traditional poses, movement with breath to increase your strength, coordination, concentration, and body awareness while<br />

calming your mind and reducing stress.<br />

Yoga 1-2: This <strong>class</strong> provides an opportunity to deepen your awareness of the poses. The pace is moderate with more intermediate poses and will be<br />

introduced and practiced around Vinyasa techniques that will increase strength and flexibility.<br />

Youth Strength and Cardio Orientation: All youth ages 7-15 must complete a Strength and Cardio Safety Orientation before they can utilize the weight and<br />

cardio rooms. The orientation for ages 7-11 is on Tuesdays; the orientation for ages 12-15 is on Thursdays. Please register at the front desk. A parent or<br />

guardian must attend the first session with the youth.<br />
