GERDAU SIDENOR I+D, the research and development centre<br />
of <strong>Gerdau</strong> Sidenor, focuses its activities on the innovation of<br />
products and the processes of production, transformation and<br />
use of <strong>Special</strong> <strong>Steels</strong>.<br />
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES<br />
• Development of working groups with customers. Aim: to<br />
improve the competitiveness of our customers through savings<br />
in costs.<br />
• Design of new special steel grades.<br />
• Classification of special steels in service conditions.<br />
• Development and implementation of new production processes<br />
aimed at increasing the final quality of the product, anticipating<br />
new market demands and respecting the environment.<br />
• Development and application of numerical and physical<br />
simulation tools that acts as support to the process of<br />
innovation.<br />
