TOOL STEELS
Steels with resistance to wear,
toughness and thermal shocks. We
can highlight 3 steel families: steels
for cold working, steels for hot working
and steels for the production of plastic
moulds.
Applications:
• Ferritic steels:
Good ductility, excellent resistance
to corrosion and relatively economic
price. Turbines, food industry,
healthcare industry.
• Martensitic steels:
Used generally quenched and
tempered. Suitable for high mechanical
properties and moderate resistance to
corrosion. Cuttlery, household goods,
surgical equipment, distillation towers
with temperature working at less than
650 ºC.
