STORM 4000 English motor oil check Every 100 hoursd check the oil level through the dedicated oil plugs on the base of the engine. Refil the oil level if necessary. • In case, after these checks, the tooling does not start, verify the pressure transmitter. • Make sure the equipment does not suck materials (remove the product tank). • Open the drain valve. • Disassemble the pumping group (M9). M9 cleaning and/or replacement of the pressure transmitter check on the pressure transmitter Before evaluating if the cause of the malfunction is due to the pressure transmitter or to the electric control box, proceed as follow: • Check the correct connection to the power supply. • Ensure the ON/OFF switch is on the ON (I) position (M7). M7 • Remove the pressure sensor from its housing and chek if the pin can move. If necessary, clean thoroughly. • Check the seals (O-ring and teflon ring): if worn or "pinched", replace them. ON (I) OFF (0) • Disassemble the supporting block and check the microswitch operates properly by using a tester. If damaged, replace it. • Reassemble the whole unit centering the block with the fastening screws (M10). • Turn a little the pressure control knob (M8) clockwise. M8 M10 • Reassemble the whole unit and start again the machine following the procedure indicating. • If the machine DOES NOT START, check the electrical connections and the motor electric control box: if damaged, replace it. 12
N PROBLEMS <strong>AND</strong> SOLUTIONS STORM 4000 Problem • Engine won't start • WARNING : For further solutions to engine problems please see the included "Lombardini" instruction manual. Cause • The petrol manifold is closed; • Engine is out of gas; • Cold engine; • Spark plug cable is disconnected or damaged; Solution • Open the petrol manifold; • Refill gas tank; • Use choke; • Connect spark plug cable or replace spark plug; English • The equipment does not start • On/Off switch disconnected; • Breakdown of pressure transmitter; • Breakdown of motor electric control box; • The line of material coming out of the pump is already under pressure; • The product is solidified inside the pump; • Ensure the On/Off switch is on the “on” position and turn clockwise the pressure control knob; • Verify and replace it, if necessary; • Verify and replace it, if necessary; • Open the drain valve to release pressure in the circuit; • Open the drain valve to release pressure in the circuit and stop the machine.
