Clay Jensen Clay Jensen is the narrator of the novel, who only has a good reputation, just like his handsome appearance. In the novel, he is a model student who is always polite, kind, and sincere. Also he is such an emotional and tenderhearted boy, who truly grieved Hannah’s death. Although he has a cautious characteristic, sometimes that caution caused him to hesitate for too long that he ended up not doing what he supposed to do. In the novel, he slowly and carefully approached to Hannah. And when she rejected him, he cautiously stepped back for the next chance. However, there wasn’t
