Many systems tend to be overdesigned, causing some circuits to have too much flow, while others have too
little depending upon their proximity to the flow source. A balanced circuit saves energy and keeps temperatures
more uniform, making occupied spaces more comfortable. Proper balance also ensures that pumps operate
against the lowest possible pressure, reduces capital and maintenance costs, and ensures that the system
operates according to the intent of the design.
