is an old sailing term which refers to the process of rolling up the canvas sails in anticipation<br />

of high winds. It therefore is used to refer to the wind speed at which the turbine is shut<br />

down to prevent structural damage. This condition normally occurs only a few hours during<br />

the year, and therefore does not have a large influence on energy production.<br />
