Veggietones
The ready-to-use medium is supplied in single-use, high density polythene
bags - BioProcess Containers (BPCs) - which are engineered specifically for
pharmaceutical applications. The BPCs are filled with Cold Filterable Vegetable
Peptone Broth (cfVPB) made from gamma-irradiated culture media,
suitable for pharmaceutical media fill trials.
ANIMAL-FREE
This broth is suitable for use as an animal-free alternative to other media fill products. It is
free from all animal-derived materials and is highly nutritious, supporting the growth of a
wide range of bacteria, yeasts and moulds when incubated under appropriate conditions.
cfVPB in BPCs is filled and packed in an animal-component free facility.
CONVENIENT
There is no need to heat cfVPB, and the product comes ready to plug into the media fill
line. To save you time in the planning of your media fill trials, we can supply filterability
screening data for three different filter types.
COMPLIANT
The water used to make the broth is Water for Injection (WFI) quality water and meets
current USP production and test requirements. BPCs are constructed of superior medical
