Ms Judy Evans GCertPN CertIVWorkplaceTrain RN is an e-health project manager for the RACGP. Judy<br />

has worked as a practice nurse for 15 years. She is also an accredited nurse immuniser. Her interests<br />

include chronic disease management, adolescent health, triage <strong>and</strong> emergency care <strong>and</strong> immunisation<br />

across the life span. Judy recently contributed to the first textbook for practice nurses in Australia titled<br />

<strong>General</strong> <strong>Practice</strong> Nursing.<br />

Clinical Associate Professor Chris Hogan MB BS DRCOG DRACOG FRACGP has been a GP in<br />

Sunbury since 1979. His research interests include the organisation <strong>and</strong> logistics of general practice;<br />

asthma <strong>and</strong> chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; Coeliac disease; disaster <strong>and</strong> emergency medicine;<br />

<strong>and</strong> aged care.<br />

Dr Cathy Hutton MB BS DRCOG FRCGP is a GP in Essendon where she consults with a wide range of<br />

patients. Her area of focus in her practice are shared antenatal care <strong>and</strong> mental health care. Cathy has<br />

been involved as a GP advisor to HopSCOTCH, a shared care intervention for childhood obesity, <strong>and</strong> is a<br />

member of the National Immunisation Committee. She is currently the Deputy Chair of the AMA Council of<br />

<strong>General</strong> <strong>Practice</strong> <strong>and</strong> the Chair of the Quality Committee, as part of her role as a Director at Peter<br />

MacCallum Cancer <strong>Centre</strong>.<br />

Dr Christine Longman MB BS GDipAlcohol&DrugStudies MMed DRACOG FRACGP is a GP in Yarraville<br />

<strong>and</strong> has recently completed the degree of Master of Medicine. Her main medical interests are addiction<br />

medicine, obstetrics <strong>and</strong> gynaecology <strong>and</strong> medical education.<br />

Dr Hubert van Doorn MB BS FRACGP is a GP at East Brunswick Medical <strong>Centre</strong>. He has previously been<br />

an RACGP Travelling Fellow; coordinator of <strong>General</strong> <strong>Practice</strong> Education at the Royal Children's Hospital;<br />

<strong>and</strong> held academic positions with the RACGP <strong>and</strong> <strong>General</strong> <strong>Practice</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Primary</strong> <strong>Health</strong> <strong>Care</strong> <strong>Academic</strong><br />

<strong>Centre</strong>. His areas of focus in his practice are paediatrics, men's health, preventive care <strong>and</strong> mental health.<br />

Ms Lynne Walker CertIVWorkplaceTrain&Assess GCertDiabetes DipHlthCounsellingEd RN RM has<br />

worked in general practice for the last 13 years in the capacity of a practice nurse, GP liaison <strong>and</strong> Quality<br />

<strong>Care</strong>. Her interests include progressing the role of nurses in general practice; <strong>and</strong> encouraging <strong>and</strong><br />

supporting nurses to exp<strong>and</strong> their scope of practice through quality education. Working with VicReN helps<br />

build the practice nurses’ perspective in both conducting <strong>and</strong> participating in general practice research.<br />

Lynne has recently co-edited the first textbook for general practice nurses titled <strong>General</strong> <strong>Practice</strong> Nursing.<br />

Dr Debra Wilson MB BS MSocHlth DRANZCOG FRACGP is a GP from Grantham Street <strong>General</strong> <strong>Practice</strong><br />

in West Brunswick. Debra is on the board of Impetus. Her medical interests include antenatal care <strong>and</strong><br />

adolescent health. She is also involved in the Docs in Schools program with North West Area Mental<br />

<strong>Health</strong> Service.<br />

Dr Sam Zagarella MB BS DRACOG RACGP has been a GP for 25 years. He is currently the practice<br />

principal at Niddrie Medical <strong>Centre</strong>. Sam's medical interests include preventative medicine <strong>and</strong> sports<br />

medicine. He is also involved in diabetes <strong>and</strong> obstetric share care.<br />
