For Māori, <strong>the</strong> age-standardised prevalence <strong>of</strong> NRT use by recent quit attempters in<br />
<strong>the</strong>ir last quit attempt declined between 2006 and <strong>2009</strong>, along with <strong>the</strong> use <strong>of</strong> most<br />
o<strong>the</strong>r cessation advice, services and products (Figure 38). However, only <strong>the</strong> decline in<br />
<strong>the</strong> use <strong>of</strong> friends or family between 2006 and <strong>2009</strong> was significant. Utilisation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
Quitline was <strong>the</strong> only exception to this decline, with usage rates remaining relatively<br />
stable.<br />
