Type <strong>of</strong> cigarette consumption in youth<br />
Youth aged 15–17 and 18–19 were significantly more likely to smoke roll-your-own<br />
cigarettes than manufactured cigarettes (Figure 23). The most common reason youth<br />
gave for smoking roll-your-own cigarettes was that <strong>the</strong>y cost less than manufactured<br />
cigarettes. This reason was given by 41.8% (23.3–62.1) <strong>of</strong> 15–17-year-old and 70.5%<br />
(56.5–84.5) <strong>of</strong> 18–19-year-old current smokers.<br />
