Time trends in current smoking<br />
Overall, <strong>the</strong> age-standardised prevalence <strong>of</strong> current smoking in 15–64-year-olds fell<br />
significantly between 2006 (24.4%, 22.9–25.9) and <strong>2009</strong> (21.8%, 20.3–23.3) (p-value<br />
< 0.05).<br />
Among females, <strong>the</strong> age-standardised prevalence <strong>of</strong> current smoking fell significantly<br />
between 2006 and <strong>2009</strong> (p-value < 0.05) (Figure 7). There was no significant change in<br />
<strong>the</strong> age-standardised prevalence <strong>of</strong> current smoking for males between 2006 and <strong>2009</strong>.<br />
