Current smoking, by neighbourhood deprivation After adjusting for age, both males and females living in the most deprived neighbourhood areas (NZDep2006 quintiles 4 and 5) were found to be significantly more likely to be current smokers than males and females living in the least deprived neighbourhood areas (NZDep2006 quintile 1) (Figure 6).
