Exposure to second-hand smoke in <strong>the</strong> car in <strong>the</strong> past week<br />
Overall, 6.1% (5.3–7.0) <strong>of</strong> non-smoking adults were exposed to second-hand smoke in<br />
<strong>the</strong> car <strong>the</strong>y usually travel in during <strong>the</strong> past week. There was no significant difference<br />
in <strong>the</strong> age-standardised prevalence <strong>of</strong> second-hand smoke exposure in <strong>the</strong> car among<br />
non-smoking adults, by sex.<br />
Exposure to second-hand smoke in <strong>the</strong> car, by age group<br />
Non-smoking adults aged 15–29 years were at least two and half times more likely to be<br />
exposed to second-hand smoke in <strong>the</strong> car than adults over 30 years (Figure 69).<br />
